Prov 30:15-16

The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:

16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough. KJV

Many times when our lives come under pressure we are tempted to give up. Some people give up at the point of their breakthrough. Don’t give up even when things are not working the way you planned. Those who give up too soon in life don’t go up. One important lesson to learn in life is never to give up. Lk 18:1

Men always ought to pray and not faint. One day Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their constant need to always pray and not give up. There is a need for persistence, perseverance and importunity. Fire never says it is enough.

Why do people give up?

  1. Failure
  2. Disappointment
  3. Negative happening
  4. Hope deferred
  5. Discouragement
  6. Dashed expectations

Isa 42:1-4

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. KJV

We saw from the prophecy about Jesus that he will not fail nor be discouraged. Some wives easily give up on their husbands. Some parents also give up on their children too soon. Those who give up  too soon in life forfeit their day of joy and manifestation. Don’t give up on your children. Don’t give up on your wife. Though weeping may tarry for the night joy is coming in the morning. Ps 30:5The darkest part of the night is always the beginning of a new day. Failure gives us opportunity to learn. There is no man who succeeds in life who cannot fail and who has not failed before.

There is no substitute for faith in life. Faith is made perfect by our works for our faith to work we must work. Faith is not anti-work; faith helps us to engage in profitable labour.  Failure is a temporary setback that enables us to make progress in life.

There is a need for courage to advance in life. A leader needs courage and resilience. A man of faith sees barriers as stepping stones. Failures should strength our resolve to move forward. Many people give up aspiring. Perseverance establishes us. It we don’t give up, we will manifest. People don’t die until they are tired of living.  God respects people’s faith when they don’t give up.

Micah 7:8 Rejoice not against me, o mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me. Birds that stay more in the air live longer and don’t come down. The storms that are threatening your life will only take you higher. The eagle is a bird that lives longest and flies highest because it soars in the direction of the storms. While other birds fall down and die it rejoices.

The storms will throw you to relevance in history. To survive in life we need to be resilient. Every test and trial will only result into victory for you if you don’t give up.
